TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS

QUALIFICATIONS

​

BES is hiring skilled and experienced Transportation Engineers for their Rocky Hill, Connecticut office. Requirements include:

•     B.S. degree in Civil Engineering

•     EIT and the ability to obtain CT PE within one year of hire

•     3-7 years of experience in roadway design on transportation projects

•     Experience modeling roadway design with OpenRoads (V8i SS4)

•     Utility relocation and drainage design experience is a plus

•     Solid verbal and written communication skills

•     Interpersonal and customer service skills

•     Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

•     Experience using MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D preferred

•     CTDOT design experience preferred

•     Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

Work experience desired may include, but is not limited to the following:

•     Apply knowledge of engineering to design roadway improvements, streets, highways and interstates

•     Geometric design of roadways using CAD applications

•     Work with a dynamic team to complete project requirements

•     Perform and coordinate plan reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work

•     Perform work within project requirements and deadlines

•     Clearly communicate through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.

•     Participate in developing and maintaining project schedules, plans development and production, quantity take-off and cost estimates and        preparation of technical reports and specifications.
